On Friday, the Iranian military reported that it launched drone strikes against multiple United States military sites located in Bahrain and Jordan. The operation was described as a retaliatory action following recent American military strikes against Iran. According to an official statement aired on state television, Arash kamikaze drones were used to strike fuel storage facilities, warehouses, and barracks at the Isa Air Base in Bahrain. While a journalist in Bahrain noted hearing an explosion and warning sirens on Friday morning, authorities have not confirmed a direct link to the reported strikes.
Additionally, Iran stated that its forces conducted drone attacks against the Al-Azraq base in Jordan, specifically targeting aviation maintenance hangars and barracks. Jordan has not reported any incidents of strikes within its borders. Tehran maintains that any regional base utilized by the United States to launch operations against Iran is viewed as a valid target for its retaliatory measures.
