Nigerian Woman Demands Public Vow of Fidelity for Canadian Visa Sponsorship

A Canadian-based Nigerian woman triggered online debate after requiring her husband to post a public video vow of fidelity as a condition for his visa sponsorship.

Ezinne Nwanorue, a Nigerian resident in Canada, has ignited a social media firestorm after setting a unique prerequisite for sponsoring her husband’s immigration. A prophetic intercessor and marriage counselor, Ezinne insisted that her spouse, Franklin Nwanorue, must publicly commit to marital fidelity through a video post on Facebook and WhatsApp to secure his travel approval.

She stated that she received divine instruction requiring Franklin to swear on video that he would remain faithful to her. The condition specified that he must declare he would face death should he ever engage in infidelity after arriving in Canada. Ezinne emphasized that this public pledge was the sole path mandated by God for the visa sponsorship to proceed.

Franklin complied with the request, releasing a video acknowledging his wife’s three-year sacrifice while separated from the family. He publicly vowed to stay faithful, promised to never seek a divorce, and pledged to be a dedicated father. In response to his declaration, Ezinne recorded her own video, making an identical promise of fidelity and commitment to their marriage. The couple’s exchange has prompted diverse opinions across various digital platforms.
