In a dynamic blend of advocacy and empowerment, the Rotary Club of Omole-Golden, in partnership with CrimsonBow Sickle Cell Initiative and Ritemate Technologies, successfully hosted the Empower a Warrior project on Saturday, 12th October, at the Rotary Center in Ikeja GRA. This impactful event, aligned with Rotary’s theme for the month—Economic & Community Development—focused on raising awareness about sickle cell disease while advancing economic opportunities for sickle cell warriors.

The event saw warriors step up in a business pitch competition, presenting their entrepreneurial ideas with remarkable creativity and vision. The top three competitors were awarded grants to support the development of their businesses, making significant strides toward financial independence. Recognizing the importance of sustained support, Ritemate Technologies, led by Irresistible President Jide Ogunleye, added an additional ₦200,000 grant to further uplift one of the winners, underscoring the organization’s commitment to fostering impactful change.

“We are proud to stand alongside CrimsonBow and support these warriors as they pursue their business goals,” said PE Jide Ogunleye, Managing Director of Ritemate Technologies. Timi Edwin, founder of CrimsonBow Sickle Cell Initiative, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of economic empowerment in the lives of those with sickle cell disease.

The Empower a Warrior initiative not only provided financial support but also reinforced Rotary’s commitment to economic growth and community resilience. This successful collaboration serves as a powerful example of how organizations can come together to drive meaningful change and uplift communities.
