FCMB and 247 Travels Partner to Launch Travel Financing Scheme

FCMB and 247 Travels have introduced a loan program offering up to ₦10 million for international air travel, allowing customers to pay for tickets in installments.

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has collaborated with 247 Travels to roll out a financing initiative dubbed Book Now, Fly Later. This scheme enables qualified customers to obtain loans of as much as ₦10 million for international airfare, providing a repayment window of three to nine months.

The service is tailored to assist Nigerians in managing the costs associated with international trips for various reasons, including education, healthcare, business, tourism, and family visits. The credit facility is managed through FCMB Premium Banking and applies specifically to flights booked via 247 Travels.

Both salaried employees and self-employed individuals banking with FCMB are eligible to apply. Once requirements are met, the bank aims to process and disburse funds within 24 working hours. Managing Director Yemisi Edun highlighted that the project aims to ease financial pressure, allowing people to travel more affordably while maintaining personal financial health. According to Tunji Adeyemi, Managing Director of 247 Travels, the goal is to remove the obstacle of large, upfront ticket payments, providing travelers with the convenience and flexibility they demand.

Interested individuals can access the service by visiting the official websites of either FCMB or 247 Travels to choose their destination and submit a financing application. This initiative marks a significant step in providing installment-based travel solutions to the Nigerian market.
