On October 26, 2024, the Rotary Club of Omole-Golden joined District 9111 for an impactful Polio Walk, bringing together members, friends, and family to raise awareness for the global fight against polio. Leading the charge was the club’s president, Rotarian Jide Ogunleye, joined by his wife, Mayokun Ogunleye, and their daughter, Sharon Ogunleye. Their participation highlighted the strong family spirit that defines our club and emphasized the importance of community unity in Rotary’s mission.

To amplify our message, the club branded a car with the bold End Polio message, adding a powerful visual presence throughout the walk. For many of our newer members, including those who joined within the past year, this was their first Polio Walk, making it both a memorable and historic experience.

“This event represents our ongoing commitment to eradicating polio,” said President Rotarian Jide Ogunleye. “With every step, we come closer to a world without polio. I’m grateful for the support of our members, family, and the entire community as we work toward this goal.”

As Rotary continues its mission, the commitment of clubs like Omole-Golden and the passion of its members and families bring us ever closer to a polio-free world. Thank you to everyone who joined the walk and those who supported from afar. Together, we are making history in the fight against polio.
