While the two initially formed a bond in October 2023 after an invitation to Lagos, the influencer recently clarified that public perceptions of financial assistance were largely for show.
In a recent video, VeryDarkMan explained that he funded his own airfare and hotel expenses during his trip to Lagos. He explicitly stated that Davido never donated to his NGO, nor did he ever request such support. The influencer emphasized that despite public belief, he has never accepted any monetary gifts from the singer, noting that any previous implications of financial backing were maintained purely for entertainment value.
