Federal Government Refutes Claims of Defence Minister Christopher Musa’s Resignation

The Federal Government has rejected online reports claiming that Defence Minister Christopher Musa is set to resign, describing the allegations as fabricated.

The Federal Government has officially labeled social media claims regarding the supposed resignation of Defence Minister, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd.), as entirely false. A statement released on Monday by the minister’s media office characterized these online reports as malicious fabrications, emphasizing that there is no truth to the rumors.

Special Assistant on Media, Leah Katung-Babatunde, signed the official notice. It clarified that General Musa remains fully dedicated to his role and continues to focus on executing the nation’s security and defense objectives. The minister continues to lead the government’s defense strategy without interruption.

Officials have requested that the public and news organizations stop circulating unverified stories. They encouraged everyone to reach out to the minister’s office for accurate information before sharing sensitive reports. The government confirmed that General Musa is still actively performing his duties.
