The Enugu State Government is set to provide agricultural supplies to 63,000 small-scale farmers this Tuesday to improve output during the current farming season. This initiative, larger than the previous year’s, includes the distribution of seeds, fertilizers, and other essential agrochemicals.
State officials confirmed the approval of 4,698 new teaching positions for the Smart Green Schools project. These educators will undergo specialized training at the Centre for Experiential Learning and Innovation to prioritize skill acquisition over rote learning.
Furthermore, in response to Ebola outbreaks in parts of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda, Enugu has activated its healthcare isolation facilities. Given the state’s status as a hub for international travel, authorities are prioritizing these preventive measures alongside the rapid completion of ongoing hospital infrastructure projects, including the Enugu International Hospital.
