The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially distanced itself from Okey Ezeala, cautioning the public and its members that he holds no position within the organization. Despite his claims of serving as the Deputy National Publicity Secretary, the party confirms he is not a recognized representative.
In a formal disclaimer issued by National Publicity Secretary Osa Director Esq., the party labeled Ezeala’s actions as fraudulent and identified him as an imposter. The NDC clarified that Ezeala was never appointed or elected to any leadership role and does not serve on the National Executive Committee or the National Working Committee.
Reports indicate that Ezeala allegedly solicited large payments from members by promising them political appointments and party tickets. Additionally, the party accused him of orchestrating an unauthorized congress, which led to the formation of an illegitimate parallel executive body in Abia State. The NDC has explicitly warned stakeholders to cease all dealings with Ezeala, as he possesses no authority to act on the party’s behalf. Victims of these alleged schemes are urged to contact the National Secretary to facilitate further investigation.
