Paul University in Awka has suspended Venerable Cornelius Eze, a Practical Biology Technologist within the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, following accusations of sexual molestation. The university has handed the matter over to law enforcement agencies for a formal investigation.
According to the institution’s spokesperson, Rev. Godisplan Onukwufor, the university received reports of the alleged misconduct on July 14, 2026. Shortly after, a video surfaced online appearing to show Eze fleeing his office in his undergarments, which triggered unrest among the student body. To maintain safety and order, the school management involved the authorities immediately.
Eze remains on indefinite suspension as both internal disciplinary proceedings and external police inquiries continue. The university stated that it upholds strict moral standards and maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding sexual harassment and abuse. Furthermore, the administration is organizing counseling services for any individuals impacted by these events. The school has requested that the public avoid spreading rumors while the investigation proceeds, promising to release updates as more details become available.
