Prominent social commentator Isaac Fayose has clarified that he maintains his allegiance to Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, despite his friendly associations with members of the All Progressives Congress. Fayose addressed the topic on his Facebook page this Thursday.
His comments followed a Wednesday evening meeting with several figures, including Seyi Tinubu and entrepreneur Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest. Fayose noted that his interpersonal connections with those surrounding President Tinubu do not dictate his political stance. He emphasized his commitment to the Obidient movement.
During his account of the gathering, Fayose described praying with Seyi Tinubu for both the nation’s leader and their personal well-being. He highlighted that these interactions are rooted in mutual respect rather than political uniformity. By maintaining these relationships, Fayose advocates for a brand of politics that avoids hostility, while still campaigning for Peter Obi ahead of 2027.
