Nigerian music executive Ubi Franklin recently labeled his decision to father children with different women as a significant personal failure. During a segment of his podcast, Talks with Ubi Franklin, he encouraged younger generations to avoid his path.
While Franklin expressed deep affection for his four children, he admitted that the interpersonal dynamics with their respective mothers are exhausting. He emphasized that financial support is not the primary obstacle, but rather the complexity of handling the emotions of the children’s mothers. He urged youth to prioritize stability, stating that managing ‘baby mama drama’ is an ordeal not everyone can endure.
Franklin noted that if he could rewrite his past, he would focus on raising his children within a single household. He maintains that while children are a blessing, the circumstances of their upbringing matter significantly. The talent manager, who was formerly married to actress Lilian Esoro with whom he shares a son named Jayden, hopes his transparency helps others avoid the same complications.
