ValueJet is set to integrate Boeing 737 aircraft into its existing fleet, marking a strategic move to increase passenger and cargo capacity. This upgrade signals a new operational phase for the carrier, which initially launched service using CRJ aircraft.
The addition of the Boeing 737 models allows the airline to extend its flight range and widen its network reach throughout the African continent. Captain Omololu Majekodunmi, the Managing Director and Accountable Officer, noted that this milestone coincides with intensive training programs for engineering staff to ensure top-tier safety and maintenance standards.
ValueJet Chairman Adekunle Soname emphasized that the acquisition supports the company’s broader growth strategy. By increasing its operational capabilities, the airline aims to foster better connectivity across Africa, ultimately supporting tourism and trade while strengthening ties between Nigeria and the rest of the continent.
