Students across Ogun State have been encouraged to build a consistent study schedule well in advance of their examinations to secure higher marks. Abayomi Arigbabu, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, issued this guidance while observing the kickoff of the 2025/2026 Unified Promotion Examination in the Ijebu-Ode, Remo, and Yewa regions.
Arigbabu emphasized that true academic success stems from dedicated reading and deep comprehension of materials. He visited several schools alongside key officials, including Special Adviser to the Governor Lukmon Kiadese, Permanent Secretary Mrs. Oluwatosin Oloko, and Special Assistant Daniel Idowu. The commissioner highlighted that the government has implemented resources to ensure effective teaching and learning environments.
During the visit, Arigbabu noted that the administration plans to continue its focus on infrastructure, with large-scale classroom renovations and school building upgrades scheduled before the next academic term. He further confirmed that Governor Dapo Abiodun has committed to significant improvements for the state’s five schools for special needs children.
While inspecting the Government Technical College in Ajegunle, Arigbabu pointed out that the state’s focus on Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) has successfully positioned Ogun as a leader in that sector, supported by the installation of high-quality equipment. Local principals, including Mrs. Ikhane Kayode and Mr. Masanwo Sunday, praised Governor Abiodun’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the state’s educational landscape.
