Leandro Trossard Set for Besiktas Transfer Following Arsenal Title Success

Arsenal has agreed to sell forward Leandro Trossard to Besiktas following his successful stint and Premier League title win with the Gunners.

Arsenal has finalized an agreement to transfer Leandro Trossard to the Turkish club Besiktas, concluding the Belgian forward’s three-and-a-half-year tenure in north London.

Since arriving from Brighton in January 2023, the 31-year-old became a vital component of Mikel Arteta’s lineup. He played a significant role in helping the Gunners secure their first Premier League title in 22 years, contributing six goals in 31 league matches, most notably a crucial late goal against West Ham this past May.

Trossard played his last game for the club in the UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest. He assisted Kai Havertz’s opening goal during the 1-1 draw, though Arsenal eventually fell in the penalty shootout. Arsenal confirmed the permanent transfer agreement, noting that further details will follow once the deal is fully finalized. Besiktas simultaneously announced that formal discussions regarding the move have begun.

Throughout his Arsenal career, Trossard appeared in 174 matches across all formats, recording 36 goals. The Belgian international, who featured in both the 2022 and 2026 FIFA World Cups, will soon transition to the Turkish Super Lig.
