A Federal High Court in Abuja has authorized a warrant for the apprehension of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to lead a group known as the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, or PFIPC, which authorities describe as fake.
Justice Mohammed Umar granted the request for an arrest warrant after it was presented orally by police prosecutor Wisdom Madaki. Adeyemi is facing an eight-count criminal charge, numbered FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025, which includes accusations of fraud, impersonation, and forgery.
Despite being listed as the twelfth case for the day, the defendant was absent when his name was called. While Genesis Francis appeared as legal counsel for the accused, the prosecution pointed out that Adeyemi has consistently missed court dates. This absence follows a previous failure to appear on Tuesday regarding the same charges involving forged certificates.
