A joint task force consisting of Sector 2 troops from Operation Whirl Stroke, Nigeria Police personnel, and local vigilantes successfully captured 42 individuals suspected of involvement in kidnapping. The operation took place within the Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Security expert Zagazola Makama confirmed the event, noting that the raid occurred at 9:45 am on July 11. Authorities launched the mission after receiving intelligence regarding criminal activities in the villages of Nunku, Dundu, Takpir, and Akka.
During these targeted clearance and search operations, the security teams secured the arrests of the 42 suspects. All detainees were subsequently transferred to the Andaha Divisional Police Headquarters to undergo interrogation and legal proceedings. Security officials indicated that this crackdown is a component of a broader strategy aimed at breaking up kidnapping syndicates and stabilizing the region.
