The Super Falcons have officially commenced their training camp in Casablanca, Morocco, as they begin training for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. According to team media officer Mary Akinsola, nine athletes checked into the facility this Monday.
Key squad members present include captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and forward Asisat Oshoala. Joining them are Glory Ogbonna, Christy Ucheibe, Fatima Oloko, Oluwatosin Demehin, Rofiat Imuran, and Shukurat Oladipo. Akinsola noted that additional players and coaching staff are slated to join the camp shortly as the team ramps up its schedule.
Scheduled for July 25 through August 16, the 2026 tournament remains a major focus for Nigeria, which hopes to secure another trophy and cement its status as the top-performing women’s team on the continent. The Falcons are placed in Group C with Egypt, Malawi, and Zambia. Intensive team practices will commence once the full roster is assembled.
