Makinde Vows To Recognize Fallen Heroes Of Oriire Rescue Mission

Governor Seyi Makinde has promised to honor the military personnel and civilians who died during the successful rescue of kidnapped school victims in Oriire.

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde conveyed his relief on Saturday following the successful extraction of abducted pupils and teachers in the Oriire Local Government Area. He simultaneously pledged that his government would formally recognize the military members and civilians who perished during the rescue effort.

Addressing the public via his official social media account, Governor Makinde confirmed that his administration is committed to funding the medical care required for the survivors to achieve a complete recovery and return home to their relatives. During a visit to the military hospital in Ibadan where the victims are currently recovering, the Governor emphasized his focus on their well-being.

Regarding those who sacrificed their lives, the Governor stated that his administration would make certain their efforts were not forgotten. He offered prayers for the comfort of the grieving families and for the eternal rest of the deceased.
