The APC National Chairman has lauded the Federal Government and security forces for the successful rescue of abducted pupils and teachers in Oyo State, highlighting the success of inter-agency cooperation.

Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, has praised both federal authorities and security services for the safe recovery of students and teachers kidnapped in the Oriire region of Oyo State.

In an official announcement released this Saturday by media aide Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda noted that the rescue proves the current administration is dedicated to safeguarding citizens. He attributed the success to the combined, synchronized actions of federal officials, the Oyo State government, and various security personnel.

Extending his sympathies to the families affected by the ordeal, Yilwatda hoped for their swift recovery. He specifically recognized the efforts of the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Police, the Department of State Services, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and local intelligence groups.

He stated that this event serves as a clear indicator that successful security outcomes rely heavily on information sharing and inter-agency teamwork. Furthermore, he commended the Oyo State government for its cooperation with federal authorities, framing it as a necessary display of unity regardless of political affiliations.

Looking ahead, the APC chairman reaffirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is focused on bolstering national security through modernized intelligence, technological investments, and robust support for security forces. He concluded by encouraging the public to assist authorities by sharing reliable information to help curb criminal activity.
