The APC has officially submitted its presidential nomination forms for the 2027 race, confirming the return of the Tinubu-Shettima ticket and dismissing opposition concerns.

The All Progressives Congress has officially finalized its presidential ticket for the 2027 election by submitting the nomination forms for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima. National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda confirmed the party is unfazed by opposition criticism, asserting that Tinubu enters the contest with a guaranteed foundation of 12 million party member votes.

The paperwork was delivered in Abuja by Hon. Ibrahim Masari, the Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, on behalf of the president. This filing successfully met the Independent National Electoral Commission deadline of July 11, 2026. The ceremony, which followed primary elections across various government levels, included prominent attendees such as Senator Hope Uzodinma and various members of the Federal Executive Council.

Yilwatda emphasized that the administration’s impact, ranging from student loan initiatives to infrastructure and agricultural support, will broaden the party’s electoral appeal. He urged supporters to actively promote these government achievements, expressing strong optimism that the APC is on track to secure its highest-ever vote count across all geopolitical zones.
