Diddy’s Children Surprised by His Charges After Brief Jail Conversation

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs’ children are reportedly in shock following his arrest and indictment, having spoken briefly with him from jail.

Combs, 54, was arrested on September 16 and faces charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty and has been denied bail twice.

According to a source close to the situation, Combs has managed to communicate briefly with family members, including his children—sons Quincy, 33, Justin, 30, and Christian, 26, as well as daughters Chance, 18, and twins Jessie and D’Lila, 17, and his youngest, Love, who is 23 months old.

“He is very worried about his kids and their well-being,” the insider shared. “He has three minor children, two of whom now have no living parent while he is in jail. Four of his seven children have neither parent available during his incarceration.”

Combs shares Christian, Jessie, and D’Lila with model and actress Kim Porter, who passed away in 2018 at the age of 47. Quincy is Porter’s son with Al B. Sure!, whom Combs later adopted.

Justin is Combs’ son with stylist Misa Hylton, while Chance is the daughter of Sarah Chapman. The youngest, Love, was born to Dana Tran in October 2022.

A second insider close to the family reports that the Combs children are “in a state of crisis and shock” after their father’s arrest.

“It’s heartbreaking to see the children in their current state,” the source says. “This is their father. To them, he’s not Diddy—he’s Dad. He has always been a loving and devoted father.”

Combs, one of the most powerful executives in the music industry, stands accused of forcing women to engage in long, orchestrated sex performances known as “freak offs,” some of which lasted several days.

Per prosecutors, the “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper allegedly used drugs like cocaine, ketamine and oxycodone, as well as his influence, to coerce and intimidate women to join the “freak offs,” which were allegedly sometimes captured on camera without the victims’ knowledge.

During the raids on his homes in Los Angeles and Miami in March, authorities seized over 1,000 bottles of baby oil among the supplies related to the “freak offs.”

In a bail package of $50 million that was denied by a judge, Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, proposed a bond of $50,000 for him.

During the arraignment, Agnifilo mentioned that Combs is undergoing “treatment and therapy for issues that he respectfully needs help with,” though he did not specify the details due to confidentiality.

“He’s going to fight this with all his energy and the full confidence of his lawyers, and I expect a lengthy battle with a favorable outcome for Mr. Combs,” Agnifilo stated outside the court on September 17.

A hearing for Combs is scheduled for October 9 at 2 p.m.
