Senate President Godswill Akpabio declared on Thursday that continued support for President Bola Tinubu past 2027 will lead to a more prosperous future for the nation. During the inauguration of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Abuja, Akpabio highlighted that the administration’s strategic shifts have successfully moved Nigeria away from its traditional dependence on crude oil.
Akpabio emphasized that current fiscal policies have empowered states, noting that monthly revenue allocations now exceed 2 trillion naira. He stated that this financial growth allows states to operate without relying on loans, a claim he suggested could be verified by governors in attendance. By fostering a diverse, non-oil economy, the Senate President argued that President Tinubu has set the country on a path toward long-term stability and economic improvement.
