Minister of Works David Umahi and Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji have interpreted the recent APC electoral victory in Ekiti as clear evidence of widespread voter approval for the party’s governance. During a meeting at the Ministry of Works headquarters in Abuja, the two leaders identified federal infrastructure initiatives as the primary driver behind this success.
Umahi noted that President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to road development across the nation has solidified public trust. He highlighted that these infrastructure projects are being implemented consistently throughout the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, positioning the party favorably for the 2027 election cycle. Regarding the pending Ado–Ijan–Ilumoba–Ikole Road project, the Minister guaranteed a transparent procurement process and rigorous quality oversight.
Governor Oyebanji credited federal intervention in key transportation corridors for strengthening the APC’s standing in Ekiti. He specifically pointed to the rehabilitation of the Itawure–Aramoko–Ado Road as a milestone that resolved a major local grievance. Expressing gratitude on behalf of his constituents, the Governor emphasized that the Tinubu administration’s investments extend beyond roads into critical sectors like health and agriculture, further cementing the bond between the federal government and the people of Ekiti.
