Gombe Police Apprehend Four Suspects and Liberate Kidnapped Minor

Gombe State police have rescued an eight-year-old kidnapping victim and taken four suspects into custody following a focused investigation.

Authorities in Gombe State have successfully liberated an eight-year-old child who was taken in the Akko Local Government Area. Four individuals connected to the abduction are now in custody.

DSP Buhari Abdullahi, representing the police command, stated on Thursday that the child’s father, Muhammadu Nabadara, alerted the Akko Division on June 28. His son had disappeared the prior morning around 6:30 am.

While initial leads on June 29 proved misleading, a targeted intelligence effort resulted in the arrest of Abdullahi Mohammed on June 30. Following his detention, he admitted to plotting the kidnapping with three associates: Mohammed Magaji, 35, Sale Sale, 23, and 18-year-old Walida Ya’u.

Police located the remaining suspects shortly after and recovered the young victim, who was physically unharmed. The boy has returned home, and officials confirmed that legal proceedings against the suspects will commence once investigations are finalized.
