Professional heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury has confirmed a charity exhibition match against Mariusz Wach scheduled for this month in Thailand. This event serves as a precursor to a highly anticipated encounter with Anthony Joshua. The 37-year-old, who previously held world titles twice, shared the news via Facebook, confirming the 12-round contest will occur on July 24 in Pattaya.
Fury returned to professional boxing in January following a year-long hiatus that began after his second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk at the end of 2024. Standing at 6 feet 9 inches, the fighter remains well-regarded for his agility, a trait he famously utilized in 2015 when he ended Wladimir Klitschko’s lengthy title reign.
The match against 46-year-old Polish fighter Mariusz Wach, often called The Viking, will be hosted at the Max Muay Thai Stadium. Production crews from Netflix are expected to film the event for a television series featuring Fury. The boxer stated that all financial proceeds from the match will be gifted to local charitable causes supporting homeless and hungry children.
