Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has officially relieved Mrs. Toyin Balogun of her duties as the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion. This decision was conveyed through an official statement released on Wednesday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
In her place, the governor has appointed Alhaja Joke Sanni, who previously held the role. Governor Makinde expressed gratitude toward Mrs. Balogun for her service to the state and extended well wishes for her upcoming professional pursuits. The transition is effective immediately.
Alhaja Sanni brings prior experience to the position, having managed the ministry from 2019 to 2023. Following her initial tenure, she served in the Ministry of Special Duties and was most recently assigned to the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperative.
