Two-time heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is scheduled to face Poland’s Marius Wach on July 24 in Pattaya, Thailand. This match serves as a preliminary contest before a highly anticipated matchup against fellow British heavyweight Anthony Joshua. Fury frequently trains in Pattaya.
The following day, July 25, Anthony Joshua will return to the ring in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to fight Kristian Prenga. This marks Joshua’s first appearance since a tragic December 2025 car accident in Nigeria that claimed the lives of two friends. For a 2026 clash between the two former world champions to proceed, both fighters must be victorious in their respective upcoming bouts.
Marius Wach, 46, holds a professional record of 39 wins and 12 losses, with 20 victories coming by way of knockout. However, the Polish fighter has struggled recently, winning only three of his last ten fights, including a stoppage loss to Moses Itauma in 2024. Wach has also previously fallen to English competitors Dillian Whyte and Frazer Clarke.
Promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed in April that Joshua had signed the contract to face Fury. This development followed Fury’s comeback victory against Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which ended a 15-month hiatus. Following that win, Fury publicly challenged Joshua, setting the stage for their future encounter. While some rumors suggested the fight could take place in the United States, Hearn clarified to BBC Sport that the pair are contractually obligated to compete in the United Kingdom.
