The pan-Yoruba group Afenifere has officially praised Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu, along with the governors of Ogun and Lagos, for their recent success against kidnappers and bandits on the Ogbere–Sagamu Road. National Organising Secretary Abagun Kole Omololu stated that the operation, which was carried out under the guidance of Chief Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti, highlighted the power of inter-state teamwork and precise, intelligence-driven policing.
Afenifere highlighted the strategic role of the Inspector-General of Police in modernizing the force’s approach to crime. The group also recognized the local knowledge of Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Olubode Ojajuni, and the logistical contributions of Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, as key factors in the mission’s success.
Governors Dapo Abiodun and Babajide Sanwo-Olu were also commended for providing the necessary political backing and resources to help security forces protect citizens. The organization praised the officers involved for their bravery and professional conduct. Reaffirming its stance, Afenifere declared that criminal activity will not be tolerated in Yorubaland, emphasizing that the success of Operation Kosaye sends a clear warning to those who disrupt regional peace.
