In Abuja, President Bola Tinubu officially inaugurated eight new federal appointees at the Presidential Villa. The ceremony, which occurred in the Council Chamber before the Federal Executive Council meeting, included two commissioners for the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission and six for the National Population Commission.
Hajiya Amina Ibrahim Gamawa of Bauchi and Abdullahi Mukhtar of Kaduna took their oaths to represent the RMAFC. Notably, Gamawa previously managed administrative operations as a Deputy Director for the All Progressives Congress. The six new National Population Commission representatives are Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi, Nasiru Mu’azu, Isaka Alada Yahaya, Sadiq Isah Radda, Suleiman Umar, and Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo.
These selections follow the President’s recent push for Senate confirmation regarding leadership roles across various government bodies. High-ranking officials, such as Vice President Kashim Shettima and Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, attended the event. After the inauguration, the Federal Executive Council session began to discuss upcoming government initiatives.
