Operation Hadin Kai, the Joint Task Force, confirmed that 76 terrorists, including senior ISWAP commanders, have turned themselves in. This follows aggressive air and ground strikes targeting terrorist strongholds in the North-East.
Captain Mohammed Goni, the spokesman for the operation, attributed the mass surrender to continuous military pressure and precise intelligence operations. The captured individuals, who include high-ranking figures, are currently being held in a secure facility for mandatory profiling and debriefing.
The military noted that this event highlights the success of their strategy to break down the insurgents’ supply chains and command structure. By forcing these combatants—some of whom surrendered alongside their families—out of their camps, the military believes the group’s overall operational capacity is fading. Officials emphasized that their combined approach of combat, intelligence, and inter-agency cooperation remains the core strategy for bringing stability to the region.
