Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has removed his Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary from their positions as part of a significant administrative restructuring. This overhaul also encompasses all Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants currently serving in the government.
Mashood Abdulrafiu, the Deputy Chief Press Secretary, announced the decision in Ilorin on Monday. He noted that the administration aims to incorporate more party members into the government while bringing renewed vigor to the state leadership. The Governor thanked the departing officials for their dedicated service and wished them well in their future pursuits.
Affected staff members have been instructed to surrender all government equipment and materials to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government immediately.
