The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has officially urged security forces to apprehend the individuals responsible for the deaths of Alhaji Ardo Risku Muhammad and his associate. In a formal communication, the group insisted on an urgent, exhaustive, and open inquiry into the events that led to their demise.
Alhaji Muhammad served as the Benue State leader for the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN). The declaration came from Malam Hassan Sani Indabawa, who serves as the MURIC Kano State Chairman and regional coordinator for northern states and Abuja.
The victims were attacked and killed last Friday as they traveled back from a reconciliation session organized by the local Police Divisional Officer in Ohinmini. MURIC expressed deep regret regarding the incident and condemned the violence. The organization emphasized that the police and other agencies must utilize every resource to track down the killers, warning that the assassination of such a prominent peace advocate could incite further instability and vengeance.
