LASTMA Launches 3367 Toll-Free Hotline to Improve Traffic Services

LASTMA has rolled out a new 3367 toll-free short code to simplify public reporting of traffic incidents and emergency needs across Lagos.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has introduced a new toll-free hotline, 3367, aimed at boosting emergency response capabilities and streamlining traffic oversight. General Manager Olalekan Bakare-Oki explained that this shift from previous long-digit lines to a shorter, more accessible code marks a major technological upgrade for the agency.

Users on MTN, 9mobile, and Glo networks can call this number without any charges to report accidents, broken-down vehicles, or traffic obstructions. Beyond reporting emergencies, the public is encouraged to use the line to provide feedback on the conduct and professionalism of agency staff, which is expected to increase operational transparency.

To ensure widespread accessibility, the service supports communication in English, Yoruba, and Pidgin. Bakare-Oki stated that this move addresses the growing complexities of navigating a megacity like Lagos. He emphasized that the agency is committed to handling all incoming reports with strict confidentiality and prompt action, viewing the new system as a vital tool for creating a safer and more efficient transit environment.
