General Musa Urges Southern Kaduna to Prioritize Unity and Peace for Progress

Defence Minister General Christopher Gwabin Musa calls on Southern Kaduna leaders and citizens to foster peace and unity, arguing that development relies on stability and trust.

Retired General Christopher Gwabin Musa, the Minister of Defence, has appealed to Southern Kaduna’s legal professionals, leadership, and local residents to bridge internal gaps and cultivate a stable environment for future growth. During a roundtable hosted by the Southern Kaduna Lawyers titled, “Division to Cohesion: Role of Lawyers, Leaders and Citizens in Southern Kaduna,” he praised the initiative for fostering reconciliation among local ethnic factions.

Musa emphasized that genuine development remains impossible without peace, stability, and trust. He urged legal experts to go beyond courtrooms and utilize their influence to support justice and institutional integrity. Furthermore, he challenged political and religious leaders to prioritize communal welfare over individual gains, advocating for consensus-building and tolerance.

Addressing the youth, the Minister warned against violence, hate speech, and criminality. He reminded the public that while security forces establish the initial framework for order, long-term stability depends on active participation from the community, social justice, and the peaceful resolution of disputes. He concluded by expressing hope that the roundtable’s outcomes will pave the way for lasting coexistence and sustainable prosperity in the region.
