Famous Nigerian actress Anita Joseph has expanded her professional horizon by venturing into the hospitality sector. She is now the owner of Eko Akara Bistro, an upscale eatery located in Lagos.
Contrary to assumptions that this is a response to economic hardship, Joseph clarified in an interview with Potpourri that the business stems from a genuine passion for the product. She noted that she frequently made bean cakes at home and was immediately drawn to the brand when the opportunity to purchase the establishment arose.
The bistro is far more than a bean cake specialty shop. Its menu is extensive, featuring a variety of local and international dishes. Patrons can order items such as burgers, pepper soup, grilled proteins, diverse porridge dishes, catfish, and shawarma. This acquisition represents a strategic effort by the actress to grow her portfolio outside of the film industry and establish a presence in the competitive Nigerian food market.
