Recent BUK Graduate Dies in Car Crash While En Route to Kano for Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony
A recent Physiotherapy graduate of the Bayero University, Kano, Abdurrazaq Olajide, d!ed in a motor accident a week before his induction and oath-taking ceremony.
It was gathered that Abdurrazaq, who graduated earlier this year, was on his way to Kano when the accident occurred on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
The Induction and Oath-taking ceremony is slated for 20th August.
“Abdulrazak graduated from BUK earlier this year after spending about 7 years in College of Health studying. Today, on his way back to Kano to attend his Induction and Oath-taking ceremony next week, he had an accident and passed away. Innalillahi wa Inna ilaihirajiun. Painful exit but, Allah knows best,” a colleague, Ameer, wrote.
Former president of the National Association of Physiotherapy Students, Fakhruddeen Auwal Taheer, confirmed the sad incident in a Facebook post.
“Inna lillahi wa inna alaihi raji’un. We lost him a week to their induction into Physiotherapy Profession!!! I just came to realize the death of our good friend and also a Junior colleague Abdurrazaq Olajide, who involved in a road traffic accident today on his way back to Kano state in preparation for their induction ceremony into Physiotherapy Profession that scheduled to hold on next week. Abdurrazakaq is indeed a good person with good heart. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and make Jannatul Firausi be his final abode,” he wrote.
The deceased will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
