Nineteen Nations Advance to 2026 World Cup Round of 32

Nineteen teams have officially advanced to the Round of 32 for the 2026 World Cup following the latest round of group stage matches.

A total of 19 national teams have now secured their advancement to the Round of 32 in the 2026 World Cup. Recent qualifiers include Japan, Sweden, the Netherlands, Colombia, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ecuador, and Ivory Coast.

Australia reached this stage after securing a 0-0 draw against Paraguay in their final Group D match, finishing in second place. Meanwhile, Ivory Coast moved forward by defeating tournament newcomers Curacao with a 2-0 scoreline. Other notable results saw Ecuador overcome an early deficit to beat Germany 2-1, while the Netherlands secured a 3-1 victory over Tunisia to top their group. Japan and Sweden finished their respective match with a 1-1 tie.

These teams join an established group of qualifiers that includes Argentina, France, Germany, Norway, Morocco, Brazil, the USA, Switzerland, Canada, South Africa, and Mexico.
