Flying Eagles manager Abdu Maikaba has wrapped up his player evaluation phase and is currently shifting his attention toward assembling a squad capable of retaining the title at the upcoming WAFU B U-20 Tournament. According to reports from the DAILY POST, the team began their initial training camp in Abuja earlier this month.
The seasoned coach has finalized his roster for the regional event, which is scheduled to take place in Côte d’Ivoire next month. Nigeria enters the tournament aiming to secure a third consecutive victory, as the team triumphed in the previous two installments.
Beyond the regional trophy, the competition functions as a qualifying pathway for the 2027 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations. The continental tournament is set to be held in Ghana early next year.
