Youth Leader Calls on APC Governors to Support Governor Fubara

Dr. Tom FredFish urges the Progressive Governors Forum to defend Governor Siminalayi Fubara against internal political maneuvering and ensure his right to seek re-election.

Call for Intervention

Youth activist Dr. Tom FredFish has challenged the Progressive Governors Forum to abandon their neutrality and protect democratic fairness. His statement follows reports that Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his supporters faced exclusion during APC primary screenings.

FredFish expressed alarm over reports that political newcomers are being prioritized over established party members due to their ties to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike. He argued that this behavior damages the integrity of internal party processes by valuing personal alliances over actual dedication to the organization.

The activist asserted that Governor Fubara should receive the same respect and opportunities as any other APC official, including the ability to run for re-election without being hindered by intimidation. He suggested that the Forum should meet with President Bola Tinubu to ensure the Governor is granted his full rights.

Finally, FredFish cautioned that silence from leadership regarding these internal maneuvers sets a dangerous precedent. He emphasized that the governors must act now to maintain democratic standards, warning that ignoring these issues today leaves all party members vulnerable to similar mistreatment in the future.
