Mother of Four Slips and Dies While Fetching Rainwater in FCT
A 32-year-old housewife, Mrs Maimuna Aliyu, slipped and died while fetching rain water inside at Bako village in the Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday, June 6.
DailyTrust reports that a neighbour who simply identified himself as Usman said the incident happened about 8:12 am.
Usman said that while it rained heavily, the mother of four carried a basin to fetch water but missed her step and slipped. He said the woman’s husband had left for farm alongside two of her children when the incident happened.
He said the woman was unconscious when she was rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, she was later confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
The FCT police command is yet to comment on the incident.
