20 teams are set to contest the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
This campaign marks the 54th edition of Nigeria’s top-flight football competition and the 36th since it became professional. The opening fixture will see defending champions Remo Stars FC face Rivers United FC at the Remo Stars Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 4:00 pm.
The season will also feature a record number of privately owned clubs since 2019, with Remo Stars, Ikorodu City, Barau FC, and Kun Khalifat all taking part.
