Surgeons at the Kamchatka Oncology Clinic in Russia remained steadfast during an intense 8.8 magnitude earthquake, continuing a life-saving operation despite the building shaking violently.

The powerful undersea quake struck the Kamchatka Peninsula on Wednesday, July 30, marking the most significant seismic event in the region since 1952, according to Russian scientists.

CCTV footage captured the remarkable moment, showing the surgical team calmly stabilizing the patient and proceeding with the procedure even as the operating room trembled. The video quickly went viral, drawing widespread admiration online.

Oleg Melnikov, head of the region’s Ministry of Health, confirmed that the patient is safe and recovering well.
