Manchester United Sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford in £71 Million Deal
Manchester United have officially completed the signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford in a deal worth £71 million. The Cameroonian forward has agreed to a five-year contract, with the transfer comprising a £65 million fixed fee and an additional £6 million in performance-based add-ons.
Mbeumo, who is contracted until June 2030 with the option of an extra year, will be part of United’s squad heading to the United States on Tuesday for their pre-season tour.

Reacting to the move, Mbeumo expressed his excitement: “The moment I heard about the opportunity to join Manchester United, I couldn’t turn it down. This is the club I’ve dreamed of since childhood — the one whose jersey I wore growing up.
“My mindset is to constantly improve. I believe I have the drive and personality to grow here, learning under Ruben Amorim and playing with elite-level teammates. Everyone spoke highly of the atmosphere and future ambitions here. This is a massive club, with a historic stadium and passionate fans — we’re all aiming for the biggest titles.”
United identified Mbeumo as a key target this summer after a disappointing 2024–25 season in which they scored only 44 Premier League goals — their lowest total since the league’s rebranding.
Mbeumo began his career at French club Troyes before making the move to Brentford in 2019 for £5.8 million. Since then, he has scored 70 goals in 242 appearances in all competitions for the Bees, including 20 Premier League goals last season.
