Nigerian Woman Recounts Harrowing Robbery Ordeal
A Nigerian woman, Fabiyi Abosede, has shared her traumatic experience after being attacked and robbed by four armed men while on her way to deliver goods to clients.
The incident, which occurred on Monday, June 30, left Abosede battered and shaken. According to her account, the assailants ambushed her as she stepped out of her home, violently assaulted her, and stole her phone and perfumes.
More devastatingly, the robbers gained access to her bank account and emptied it completely, leaving her financially stranded.
“They beat me mercilessly and took everything,” she said, still visibly distressed. “They withdrew all the money in my account. I’m just thankful to be alive.”
The matter has sparked renewed concerns about street-level insecurity and the increasing brazenness of criminal gangs, especially those targeting women entrepreneurs.
Authorities are yet to release a formal statement on the attack, and it remains unclear whether arrests have been made.
‘’Yesterday, i was robbed and battered by 4 men. All I did wrong was leaving my house to look for my daily bread. All money in my account withdrawn, my phone taken and perfume orders that I was to send out when day breaks were stolen. It breaks my heart that people are wicked,” she wrote on Tuesday.
