Man Caught Hiding In Bank Ceiling After Alleged Attempted Heist
A dramatic video circulating online shows the moment a young man was apprehended while hiding inside the ceiling of a First City Monument Bank (FCMB) branch in Owerri.
Eyewitness accounts reveal that the suspect entered the bank during operating hours, discreetly locked himself inside the restroom, and later climbed into the ceiling, allegedly intending to remain hidden until the premises was empty.

The following morning, staff arriving for work became suspicious after finding the main entrance locked from within. Upon forcing the door open, they reportedly heard strange noises emanating from the ceiling.
Security operatives were called in and managed to bring the suspect down, discovering him allegedly attempting to interfere with the bank’s internal systems.
The viral footage shows the man being dragged from the ceiling, subdued by security personnel and onlookers, tied with a rope, and reportedly assaulted in the process.
As of the time of reporting, FCMB has not released an official statement regarding the incident.
