Transfer: Geremi Explains Why Ronaldo Can No Longer Play In The EPL
Former Chelsea star Geremi Njitap has stated that Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer capable of playing in the Premier League.
Ronaldo, who had two stints at Manchester United, won league titles, Champions League trophies, and Ballon d’Or awards during his time with the club.
His second spell, however, ended with a contract termination before he moved to Saudi Arabia to join Al-Nassr.
Now 40, Ronaldo recently helped Portugal win the UEFA Nations League and remains active at a high level.
With his contract at Al-Nassr nearing its end, rumours of a return to England have emerged, though Geremi believes such a move is no longer realistic.
But Geremi told BoyleSports: “The Premier League is too demanding, he is 40 years old and it wouldn’t be the same as doing it once in a while in international games.
“I think he’s going into his last year in football and I can’t see him spending that in the Premier League, it’s too competitive and a lot more demanding than he has been used to in the last two years.”
