“I’m Nobody’s Hero!” – Mr Macaroni Claps Back At APC Supporters Over Celebrities Visiting Politicians

Popular Nigerian actor and outspoken activist, Mr Macaroni, has once again found himself in the middle of an online storm—this time, for allegedly setting a “moral standard” celebrities are being judged by.

But the skit maker and social commentator is not having it.

In a strongly worded post on X (formerly Twitter), Mr Macaroni made it crystal clear: “I am nobody’s Hero!! I am not a saint!!! Na all of us get our own for body!”

His statement was a direct clapback at APC loyalists accusing him of hypocrisy or moral posturing in the ongoing debate over celebrities visiting political figures. Mr Macaroni, known for his vocal stance against bad governance, emphasized that he has never condemned any celebrity for associating with politicians—he simply chooses not to.

“It’s a matter of preference,” he wrote. “It is unfair to hold others by these standards.”

He also accused what he called “APC Rascals” of always trying to weaponize his silence or choices as ammunition against others, twisting his personal convictions into tools for cyber-bullying. “These people keep dragging my name into their misery and misfortune,” he said.

Despite the chaos, Mr Macaroni redirected the spotlight to someone he believes truly deserves it—chess phenom and national pride, Tunde Onakoya. He praised Onakoya’s relentless drive and accomplishments, describing his work as “tremendously inspiring,” and urged Nigerians to channel their energy into meaningful progress.

In a series of heated posts on X, the actor and activist revealed that despite his public absence from government events, he’s not exactly being left out. “Invitations choke on different levels!!! Local ooo, State ooo, Federal ooo…” he said, making it clear that his decision to stay away from political circles isn’t due to lack of access—it’s a deliberate choice.

His response came after some APC supporters mocked him for “never attending” political functions. But Mr Macaroni wasn’t having any of it: “You will continue to cry, weep and gnash your teeth because all will be continuously declined.”

And he wasn’t done dragging. He slammed trolls who attack him whenever another person simply praises him online: “Na another person talk am but na me dem go start to dey insult… Awon Osinwin dede!!!” (Translation: “It’s someone else who said it, but they’ll start insulting me… total lunatics!”)

Capping off his rant, he repeated a message he’s hammered home before: he is not the blueprint for how Nigerian celebrities should behave politically. “I’m not your role model,” he reminded the internet, “Stop putting your personal projections on my decisions.”

So for those hoping he’ll one day pop up at a political gala or snap a photo with a minister, Mr Macaroni’s message is loud and clear: “It’s not happening. Not today. Not ever.”
