In a statement released on their official website, Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas have denied reports linking them with Nigerian winger Henry Onyekuru.

The club described the rumours as “completely baseless,” countering recent claims by several Turkish media outlets suggesting they were in negotiations with the versatile attacker.

Besiktas emphasized that no talks had taken place and urged the public to disregard the unfounded reports.

“The news published in visual and social media, claiming that our club has held transfer negotiations with professional footballer Henry Onyekuru, is completely baseless,” the club said in a statement.

Henry Onyekuru, 27, is approaching the end of his contract with Saudi Pro League side Al Fayha, fueling speculation about his next move.

The Nigerian international is no stranger to Turkish football, having previously played for Galatasaray and Adana Demirspor. Despite his experience in the league, Besiktas have officially denied any ongoing negotiations with the winger.
