Abductors of Three Church Members in Ondo Demand N15 Million Ransom
The abductors of three members of the Deeper Life Bible Church in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State have reportedly demanded a ransom of ₦15 million for their release.
The victims were kidnapped on the evening of Monday, May 26, while returning from Bible study in the Kasemola area of Ogbese community.
A family source confirmed that the kidnappers have contacted both the victims’ families and the leadership of the church, demanding ₦5 million for each of the three abducted individuals.
“We are reaching out to well-wishers and fellow church members to raise the funds,” the source said.
Meanwhile, church leaders have mobilized prayer teams to intercede for the safe return of the abductees. A member of the church also confirmed that the incident has been reported to security agencies, including the police and the Amotekun Corps.
Ondo State Police Command spokesperson, SP Ayanlade Olayinka, confirmed the abduction, stating, “There is a kidnapping case, but I can’t yet confirm the exact number of victims.” He added that police operatives are combing the surrounding forest areas in a bid to rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators.
